How To Treat Uneven Skin Tone Naturally

During one’s childhood, one has almost perfect skin with even tone. But as the time passes, sun damaged skin, discoloration of the skin; acne break outs become common problems with most of us leading to uneven skin tone and skin discoloration on face.

The nice part about using home remedies to treat uneven skin tone is that everything you need is usually free (or very cheap) and you probably have most ingredients already. :)
baking sodaOne of the first things that you might want to do is to remove any dead skin before applying any other treatments.  A popular choice for removing dead skin is to use a baking soda scrub. Baking soda is able to help remove dead skin cells without unbalancing the skin’s pH level. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with one teaspoon of water to create a paste that can be applied to the skin. Apply the paste to the skin in small areas and work through each area until the skin has been completely buffed.
Another popular treatment for helping uneven skin tone is to use oatmeal to relieve inflammation of the skin. Oatmeal contains many healthy nutrients that are able to be absorbed by the skin.To use an oatmeal treatment, mix a batch of plain oatmeal and then apply it to the skin as a mask, it can also be used as a light scrub. You can include some plain yoghurt in the oatmeal (also full of nutrients) to give the mask a smoother consistency.
Another addition you can add to an oatmeal face mask are 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, lemon juice is an excellent natural skin lightener and can also be used on its own.
Red and irritated skin can be caused by environmental factors like hot dry weather, cold and wind. To remedy this, you can use honey to hydrate and cleanse the skin. Honey is a powerful antioxidant and anti-bacterial. Overall, excellent for dry, irritated skin and a wide range of similar skin conditions.
Try this honey face mask for a glowing complexion. Put 1 tablespoon of honey into a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Next, add 1 egg yolk, a little yogurt or milk, and blend together to form a creamy paste. Apply to the face for 15 minutes to half an hour. Rinse gently afterwards with warm water.
There are many home remedies for uneven skin tone, but always remember that what works for some, may not not work as well for others, it just a case of finding out what’s right for your skin.

Is Your Makeup Killing You?

They say beauty is only skin deep. But the cosmetic products many women use to look their best every day could actually be causing damage far beyond that. Research suggests that many trusted makeup and personal care products may contain potentially harmful chemicals. The average woman uses 10 beauty products a day, exposing her to 126 chemical ingredients, many of which are linked to health risks such as diabetes, cancer, or reproductive harm.

Hopefully this is an we opener for most people that didn't realise the damaging effects of the chemicals in some
beauty products. Even more so in fact than the chemicals on food we eat- through putting toxic chemicals directly into your skin it is far more damaging to your organs than eating them as these are then absorbed directly into your bloodstream minus the enzymes we use to break these down when consuming.
On average we absorb 5lbs of toxic chemicals into our blood stream.
Most 'mineral' products only need to contain just 1% of mineral to claim they're 'mineral makeup' therefore it's so it's important to do your own research.

Simplify your beauty routine. The fewer makeup products and lotions you use, the lower your health risk from cosmetic ingredients. Use fewer products — and know what is in the cosmetics you do use.
